It’s been four years, but finally a new Spoon album is coming.
They Want My Soul will be released August 5, 2014.
Last weekend at Primavera Sound the group played this new one:

The album was produced by Joe Chiccarelli and Dave Fridmann.

In August of 1969, Bob Dylan began the sessions that would result in Self-Portrait, New Morning, Dylan and, many years later, Another Self-Portrait.
The sessions continued into 1970, and during the first five days of June 1970 Dylan recorded many songs at Columbia’s Studio E in New York.
People tend to dismiss the album titled Dylan, but some of these recordings are pretty cool. Give them a listen.

Jolie Holland is an exceptional singer, songwriter and recording artist.
I’ve loved her music since I picked up a handcrafted album, Catalpa, she pressed up 100 copies of back at the beginning of the 2000s.
Since then she got signed to Anti- and has released five more albums, the the latest being the mind-blowing Red Dark Sea which will be released on May 20, 2014.
