[In August of this year I’ll be publishing my rock ‘n’ roll/ coming-of-age novel, “True Love Scars,” which features a narrator who is obsessed with Bob Dylan. To read the first chapter, head here.

Or watch an arty video with audio of me reading from the novel here.

Video: Amazing 1986 Bob Dylan BBC Interview, Parts 1 to 4 – ‘I started out with no money, I had no money! It’s not like I got into music to make money.’

In 1986, Dylan was filmed for a BBC TV ‘Omnibus’ documentary called “Getting To Dylan” in a car park in Hamilton, Ontario.

Dylan was in the midst of acting in the film, “Hearts of Fire.” He played the role of a retired rock star.

At first he’s really playing with the interviewer, but as the interview progresses Dylan gets into it.

There are four parts, which total 27 minutes.

This is a classic example of “the Dylan interview,” and yet still we get plenty from Dylan.

Cool stuff.
